A chance meeting with someone at an open mic night, brought together with a neighbour, a substitute musician, and an old buddy and someone performing for kids. Collectively, they’re known as Crooked House Road, a band bringing its own take to folk, pop and blues that is rich in storytelling and vocal power.
The powerful vocal delivery promised is revealed immediately with the bluegrass influenced Mountain, opening the band’s debut album with fervour aplenty. Sweet harmonies envelop in Bundle Up, before a little old world charm in Racin’ and enchanting storytelling in Red & Gold.
