Cecilia Meadows is a London based singer-songwriter, originally from northern Sweden. Growing up and learning to play piano sparked a passion for music and song writing, later making the switch to guitar. While recording has started on some new music, Cerulean Blue was Cecilia’s debut EP released last year, intended to deliver an abundance of moods created with minimalist production, leaning towards a darker sound and experimenting with harmonies.
From the gentle, sparse acoustic openings of Maybe We Do, there’s an innate solace and vulnerability that is delivered with self-assurance and poise. The alternative folk is stronger in Sleepless, giving life to all things that go bump in the dark before the cool, relaxed vibe of My Cure. But ending on Cerulean Blue is a pretty sound of lyrical words and melodies intertwined in a dreamlike state.
