After a host of cassette singles and a split single with their buddies Outer Rooms, self-defined post-post-post-punk band Terrorista released their debut EP earlier this year called Softpush.
Sweet melodic guitar makes a welcomed intro to Sarah Michelle Gellar, a tune presumably inspired by a past (or lingering) crush or fondness for vampire slayers. The melodic approach lingers in the EP’s stalwart title track Softpush but with loads more rock and Morriseau’s Black comes served complete with a darker haze to accompany an equally angsty vocal. As a finale, In A Crowd is the most lyrically compelling listen on the EP.
There’s even a little video to accompany the delightful sounds of Sarah Michelle Gellar for something to watch.
