Melbourne artist Vinten (aka Cameron Paice) released a debut EP What Has Been, last year. It comes with indie-alt rock vibes aplenty, unpretentiously honest and raw lyrics delivered earnestly from the outset with the opening title track.
It makes for some pretty captivating listening, with a tempo change accompanying the search for help on Troubles. The vulnerability and closeness is more than evident in a tender tale shared in Until You Fall in Love Again, but can also be convincingly covered up with an upbeat sound in Don’t Turn Around.
The last track, Creep comes accompanied with a self-made video clip. Sound-wise the simple guitar, carefully sparse and layered makes for a spine-chilling tale unravelling in lyrics with tension and unease.
