Listening to… Chastity

A Friday night ahead of a long weekend seems like the right time to be listening to angsty, raw rock from Chastity.

Popular Belief is the most recent track dropping earlier in the year and one that isn’t for the feint hearted. But last year saw a collection of singles on the sensibly named TAPE. Fuzzy guitars engulf in You’re Scary Now and rowdy punk inspired words come with the sounds of Saliva.

Even though it’s short, Manning Hill deserves a little attention. Not only for being a raucous, disorderly indulgence in noise but because it pays homage to bleak suburban sprawl and bored kids in Whitby, ON where Manning Hill is found via a Smashing Pumpkins inspired video.
