Harper is a four piece blues rock/alternative rock band. Even though they’ve only been together since 2013, they’ve been a busy bunch writing and recording, releasing a handful of EPs and singles as well as getting out and about for live shows and dabbling in some producing too.
The band’s Mono No Aware EP offers a bit of an insight into what these guys create. The tracks have an undeniably British flair to them, with the gritty alternative imperfections in Cast in Stone, a couple of uptempo numbers in Eastern Road Dance and Bringing Me Down dishing up catchy choruses and hooks before a moodier feel on Ligature.
There’s a bit more of a polished feel on What More Can You Give, with the rhythm section responsible for making this one a bit of an addictive listen.
It’s an ample opportunity to get acquainted with these sounds, as there’s word of a new EP out soon (1 June to be precise).
