Having cut his teeth with some notable support slots with the likes of The Maccabees and Newton Falkner to name but a few, as well as being championed by BBC Introducing, Leicester native Martin Luke Brown recently added debut single to his list of achievements.
Released back in June, Nostalgia is a little pop soul delight with catchy hooks, upbeat melodies and a more than impressive falsetto to boaster. It’s the sort of sound that continues to offer a little glimmer of hope that not all tunes labelled as ‘pop’ are overproduced meaningless fads. Instead, it’s purposeful, delivered with conviction, and a tune that may get stuck for a while
YouTube will deliver the goods for further listening should the need arise, not only via Martin Luke Brown’s own channel, but further searching will uncover a predictable but still distinctive take on Sam Smith’s Stay.
